Astralaga staying at FC Barcelona until 2026

Club and player strike agreement to extend the goalkeeper's contract for a further two seasons

FC Barcelona has reached an agreement to extend the contract of goalkeeper Ander Astralaga through to 30 June 2026. The Basque stopper, who is currently training with the first team, played 16 games last season for Barça Atlètic.

He has yet to officially put pen to paper.

Culer since 2019

Born in Berango (Vizcaya) on 3 March 2004, Ander Astralaga joined FC Barcelona in the summer of 2019 from the Athletic Club youth system. He rose through the age groups, and was part of the double winning U19A side, playing 19 games in the División de Honor, six in the UEFA Youth League and one in the Copa del Rey. He was called up for senior team duty for the first time for the trip to Girona on 28 January 2023.

Astralaga made his Barça Atlètic debut in March 2022 in a 2-1 win away to Betis Deportivo. Last season, his presence in the side was more limited because on several weekends he was sitting on the senior team bench.
