Medicals for Lewandowski and Christensen

More new faces at the Ciutat Esportiva on Monday with Robert Lewandowski and Andreas Christensen undergoing health and fitness checks at the Club's Medical Services. The two players will rejoin their team mates in training in the coming days after having played in this summer's Euro 2024 tournament in Germany.

Hansi Flick, therefore, has his first two players back after international duty this summer with Lewandowski's Poland going out of the competition at the group stage and Christensen's Denmark losing in the last 16 to a Germany squad containing team mates Marc ter Stegen and Ilkay Gündoğan.

Start of a new week of training 

The two returning internationals did not take part in the training session on Monday at the Ciutat Esportiva. However, one player who was involved was Pablo Torre who carried out the session with the rest of the squad. 

The players begin their third week of training ahead of their departure for their US tour later in the week. The squad will leave on Sunday to play three games against Manchester City, Real Madrid and AC Milan during their stay on American soil.
