A promo loaded with legends

These aren't any old names. Ronaldinho, Andrés Iniesta, Carles Puyol, Hristo Stoichkov and Pau Gasol. Wow. Five of the biggest legends in FC Barcelona history all appear in the new video to promote the 2024/25 strip. 

The Brazilian superstar who played here from 2003 to 2008 is the first of the famous faces in the vid. Ronaldinho was the man who brought the smiles back to a team that had struggled through a series of below par seasons. He spearheaded an upward cycle that culminated with the Champions League victory in Paris in 2006, with three more European crowns to come in the years that followed.

The 2009 and 2011 wins were achieved with Andrés Iniesta and Carles Puyol in the side, both of whom also feature in the promo for the new kit. The former, who was also in the squad that won in 2015, is shown performing his trademark dribble, while the great centre back is the person who closes the recording.

That's UCLs two to five covered, while the first was won in the era of Hristo Stoichkov at Wembley in 1992, all thanks to the colossal Dream Team masterminded by Johan Cruyff.

The Bulgarian has never made a secret of his love for Catalonia, and he appears in the video together with Pau Gasol, who helped the team to its first EuroLeague basketball title in 2003, before going on to star in the NBA. The duo are filmed making a video call to Balde, one of the rising youngsters at the club right now.

15 men and women

Balde is not the only current player to be seen in the film. He is joined by Pedri, Lamine Yamal, Pau Cubarsí, Raphinha, Gavi, Lewandowski, Araujo and Fermín from the men's team, while Alexia, Aitana, Rölfo, Mapi, Vicky and Engen are there for the women. A veritable constellation of footy stars who want the ball and are reaching for the sky.
