Four blaugranes eyeing up Euro 24 success

Lamine Yamal heads the list of four blaugranes aiming to be crowned European champions

The decisive match is here. It's the day of the Euro 2024 final. At 9.00pm CEST, Spain and England will face off to see which team wins this edition of the ultimate prize in European international football. Blaugranes Lamine Yamal, Ferran Torres, Fermín and Pedri are all part of proceedings that will likely bring the continent to a standstill for some time.

There is no doubting that Lamine Yamal has been wowing everyone in Germany. The young La Masia forward - who only turned 17 on July 13 - has been a major contributor to Luis de la Fuente's side reaching the final.

Lamine Yamal looking to make more history

The talented FC Barcelona player scored in the semi-final against Kounde and France, which ended 2-1. Another positive day for Lamine Yamal, as he both reached the final and set another precocious record. Aged just 16 years and 362 days old, his goal made him the youngest goalscorer in the history of the European Championships. Yet another entry for the expanding list of records he now holds

He can still become the youngest ever to play and to score in a European Championship final. Let's see if he adds again to this seemingly never-ending list of feats against an England side featuring names such as Jude Bellingham, Phil Foden and Harry Kane.

Venue with good memories for blaugranes

The final between Spain and England is set to be played at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin. Lamine Yamal, Ferran Torres, Fermín and Pedri the rest of the Spanish squad reach the final on the back of a winning run, with six wins, 13 goals scored, and only three conceded. Gareth Southgate's England have not shone as brightly, but still made the final via four wins and two draws, scoring seven and conceding four goals.

However, form goes out of the window in a final, with everything to play for once the teams run out on to the pitch in the stadium in Berlin. The venue holds good memories for FC Barcelona, as the fifth Champions League title was won there against Juventus nine years ago. It's worth nothing that Lamine Yamal was almost 8 years old at the time, and now having just turned 17, he will be looking to bring some blaugrana to the stadium once again, this time with a Euro 2024 win the target.
