Araujo versus Raphinha in Copa América quarters

Uruguay and Brazil will go head to head in Vegas this weekend, with a place in the semi-finals up for grabs

The Copa América group stage came to a close on Tuesday, and while Uruguay confidently advanced to the quarter finals with three wins out of three, Brazil had to settle for second place behind Colombia in Group D.

That means that two of the hottest favourites to scoop the trophy will be crossing paths in the quarter finals, meaning that while one of Ronald Araujo and Raphinha will be ensuring that FC Barcelona is represented in the semis, the other will be going home earlier than most expected.

Araujo has been a firm fixture in Marcelo Bielsa plans so far and there is no reason to believe that won't continue, while Raphinha is also more than likely to start, especially after scoring a screamer of a free kick against Colombia and with Vini Jr out with a suspension.

The venue is the Allegiant Stadium, Las Vegas, and the game starts at 6pm Saturday local time (3am Sunday morning CEST). The side that advances will play the winners out of Colombia and Panama in a game being played three hours earlier.
