David Cáceres, new FC Barcelona roller hockey coach

The manager signs a two contract to take charge of the first team

The FC Barcelona roller hockey team now have a new coach as the Club and David Cáceres have come to an agreement for the Barcelona born former youth team boss to take charge of the first team. 

The 50 year old is a former roller hockey player and comes to Barça with more than 10 years of coaching experience behind him. 

Career path 

After retiring as a player in 2013 at Igualada, Cáceres took a job as coach at CHP Sant Feliu where he stayed until 2018 when he made the move to coaching the youth teams at Cerdanyola CH. Towards the end of the 2020/21 season the coach joined Igualada and steered them away from relegation and into European competition. 

After dropping down to coach the youth teams at Igualada he joined FC Barcelona in 2021 as coach of the youth teams. 

Past as a player 

During his playing days Cáceres represented FC Barcelona in 1993/94 as part of his 14 year career which saw him retire at Igualada at the end of the 2012/13 season. 

Coaching staff

David Cáceres will have Dani Moreno as his assistant coach whilst at the same time continuing as coordinator for the youth teams.
