Marc Casadó signs until 2028

The blaugrana signs just a few hours before the decisive clash for Barça Atlètic

The player Marc Casadó and FC Barcelona have reached an agreement to extend his contract, which will keep him at the Club until June 30, 2028.

The blaugrana midfielder signed his new contract in the presence of FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta, the director responsible for Youth Football Joan Soler, and the Club's Sporting Director Anderson Luís de Souza, Deco.

Eight seasons in blaugrana

Born in Sant Pere de Vilamajor in 2003, Marc Casadó arrived at the Club in 2016 from Damm. He joined the U14A side and moved up through the categories to the U19A side for the 2021/2022 season, when he was captain and won the Liga and the Champions Cup.

He moved to Barça Atlètic for the 2022/23 season, playing 36 games, which when added to the 30 played during the past 23/24 season, means he has a total of 66 games for the development side, starting in 64 of them. These figures show the midfielder is a key cog and a leader in the Barça Atlètic dressing room, for whom he has played both centre midfield and right-back.

In fact, due to him being a permanent fixture in Rafa Márquez' plans, Casadó has already made his debut with the first team. That was back in the 2022/23 season in a Champions League game against Viktoria Pilsen. He has since played another four times during last season.
