Barça Women 5-1 Betis: Emotional win in last game at home

There is no stopping this Barça Women team. With four trophies already behind them this season, Jonatan Giráldez's team still keep winning as they ended the league in the Estadi Johan Cruyff with a 5-1 win over Betis in their penultimate game of the campaign in the Liga F. 

Goals from Claudia Pina, Mariona, Graham Hansen and two from Salma allowed the team to take an important win on a day when the fans had the chance to say goodbye to Mariona, Sandra Paños and coach Giráldez. 

Pina opens the scoring 

With Sandra Paños and Mariona in the starting XI, Barça began strongly but it was Claudia Pina who opened the scoring in the 25th minute of the game. Just a minute before half time Marta Torrejón was taken down in the box and Mariona ended her 10 year spell at the Club by scoring the penalty. Betis pulled one back right on the stroke of half time through Aguado. 

Mapi León returns 

After the break Mapi León made her long awaited return after serious injury, coming on in the 59th minute of the contest. 

Final goodbye for Mariona and Paños

There were more special moments in the second half when Sandro Paños left the field to applause to be replaced by Gemma Font in the 68th minute. 

Just five minutes later Mariona too left the field to an ovation with Irene Paredes coming on in her place. 

With the result still in the balance, Barça took control and Graham Hansen made it 3-1 with a quarter of an hour to go. In the final minutes Salma helped herself to two goals to make the final score 5-1 on an emotional day in the Estadi Johan Cruyff.
