Roger Grimau not to continue as head coach

FC Barcelona has decided to terminate basketball head coach Roger Grimau's contract, which bound him to the club until 30 June 2025.

The club wishes to publicly thank Grimau for his professionalism and dedication at the helm of the team, and to let him know that the Palau Blaugrana will always be his home. He leaves after 84 games, in which he amassed a 53-31 record across all competitions, and one trophy in the form of the Catalan league.  

Two eras at FC Barcelona

Grimau has been coaching at the club for seven seasons. He looked after the Barça Atlètic and junior teams (2021-23), having previously run the second team in the LEB Or and LEB Plata (2018-2021).

Before that, he was also here as a player (2003-2011), where he will always be remembered as the captain of the EuroLeague 2010 winning team.
