Aitana, adductor injury in right thigh

Tests carried out have confirmed that the first team player Aitana Bonmatí has an adductor injury in her right thigh. The Barça Women midfielder is ruled out and her recovery will dictate her return. 

A season to remember 

Without doubt it has been a truly memorable season for the blaugrana number 14. Her brilliant performances have seen her become widely regarded as the best player in the world in the women's game and she has been awarded the FIFA The Best award and the Ballon d'Or this season.  

The Barça midfielder has been a key figure for Jonathan Giráldez's team as they have claimed four trophies this season - the Spanish Super Cup, the league, the Copa de la Reina and the Champions League, the first team to achieve such a feat. The win in the Champions League final in San Mamés against Lyon brought an end to European campaign in which Aitana scored six goals and provided six assists in the competition, leading her to be named best player in the Champions League for 2023/24.
