Barça 4-3 Manzanares: First blood to the blaugranes
Excellent night in the Palau Blaugrana with the Barça futsal team begging the league play offs with a win against Manzanares and a tribute to three departing heroes, coach Jesús Velasco and players André Coelho and Ferrao.
Coelho marked the occasion by scoring twice with Touré and Pito getting the others to defeat a combative Manzanares team who never threw in the towel.
Early exchanges
The blaugranes went ahead in the 9th minute when Touré finished off a pass from Matheus but the visitors Manzanares struck back just two minutes later through Raúl Campos. Almost immediately, Jesús Velasco's team reacted and Pito's goals sent them ahead after good work from Puigvert and Antonio. Nevertheless, Barça's opponents once again drew back on level terms quickly, Raúl Campos making the score 2-2 at the break.
André Coelho decides
In the second half the open, attacking game continued. Antonio and Adolfo hit the woodwork for the home side before Rául Campos put Manzanares ahead with his hat trick goal against the run of play. Fortune favoured the blaugranes as Pito's shot hit Coelho on the back before hitting the back of the net to make it 3-3 with five minutes left.
Then, with just two minutes to go, Coelho scored to get the Palau to its feet and give Barça a 1-0 lead in the three game tie against Manzanares in the league play off quarter-finals.
