Cordoba 3-4 Barça: Regular season champions

The Barça futsal team have achieved the first objective of this league season, which was to finish top of the regular league season. That means home court advantage throughout the whole endseason, which will begin with a quarter final against Manzanares, who are confirmed in eighth place after losing to ElPozo Murcia today. That series begins on May 24 at the Palau Blaugrana.

All that was needed to secure top spot was a draw today against Cordoba. In the end, Barça got all three thanks to a brace from Erick and single goals from Pito and André Coelho.

But it didn't come easy, and wasn't helped by an injury to Sergio Lozano, although two quick goals in the 8th and 10th minutes gave the blaugrana a nice little lead to work with. However, goals either side of half-time suddenly had the teams back all square.

Barça then hit back with two goals from their Portuguese players, and although Guilherme created some tension by pulling one back for the home side with four minutes to play, the Catalans held on for an important win.
