Ter Stegen, second on all time list of appearances for goalkeepers

FC Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen has written yet another page in the story that is his career at FC Barcelona. The German international reached 400 appearances for the Club two months ago and is now also the foreign player with the second highest number of appearances - added to that, after being named in the starting XI for the game against Real Sociedad, he is now second on the all time list of appearances for goalkeepers at Barça with 410. 

The wearer of the number 1 shirt at Barça has drawn level with the total of legend Andoni Zubizarreta, the man who helped bring the German to the Club back in 2014 when he was sporting director at FC Barcelona. Now, after almost 10 years as a blaugrana, Ter Stegen only has Víctor Valdés ahead of him on 535 appearances on the all time list with Antoni Ramallets on 387 and Salvador Sadurní on 332 rounding out the top five. 

12th place on the list for all players 

Including outfield players, Ter Stegen's total of 410 games in a Barça shirt places him in 12th place on the all time list of appearances. Just ahead of him are Guillermo Amor on 422 and Carles Rexach on 450, totals which are well within reach of the German who could make it into the top 10 next season.
