Ferran Torres returns after 59 days out

The striker, who had not played since 31 January, comes on in the second half of the win against Las Palmas

The 'Shark' is back in the water. Ferran Torres returned to action in the Estadi Olímpic against Las Palmas following an absence of two months due to injury. The striker picked up a hamstring injury in the opening minutes of the win against Osasuna at home on 31 January. Since then the forward had missed seven league games and the Champions League tie against Napoli.

Return and good sensations

Ferran Torres came on in the 71st minute of the game against Las Palmas in the Estadi Montjuïc to replace Lamine Yamal. Almost instantly, the striker had a chance to make it 2-0 but Las Palmas keeper Escandell made an excellent save. The man from Valencia seemed comfortable on his return in the 20 minutes he was out on the field.

Before picking up his injury at the end of January, Torres had been in excellent form, scoring a hat-trick against Betis in his 100th game as a blaugrana to take his season's total to 11 goals.
