Barça 36-25 Nava: Another win at the Palau

Nielsen immense in goal and young Djordje Cikusa produces goals in an impressive victory

This Thursday Barça have beaten Balonmano Nava (36-25) at the Palau Blaugrana in a fabulous display from start to finish and in all aspects of the game. The six goals from Richardson and five from Cikusa were the standout performances, not forgetting the nine saves from Pérez de Vargas and 11 from Nielsen that also played a key role.

The visitors came to Barcelona on an excellent run, but there was nothing they could do to contain the brilliant blaugrana, who can now turn their attention to Saturday's game with Helvetia Anaitasuna in Guipúzcoa at 7pm CET.

The side from Segovia started strong and only conceded one goal in the first five minutes, but Barça were always waiting to pounce and once they did there was never much doubt where this game was heading.

From 13-6, Nava went for five minutes without scoring and that was pretty much game over, and that was despite centre Smetanka and goalkeeper Patotski both performing extremely well for the visitors. And so another win in the bag for the unbeaten league leaders and another step closer to another championship title.
