Barça 2-1 Xota: Comeback and into the semis
It wasn't easy, but Barça are into the semi-finals of the Spanish Cup. Xota of Pamplona put up a stern fight on Thursday evening, and took the lead through Dani Saldise, but it would eventually be the Catalans who will now go on to face against Palma.
The opening goal came after just 7 minutes and obliged coach Jesús Velasco to change his plans, especially when the Navarran defence started to prove very difficult indeed to break through, and even when Barça finally did score a VAR review showed that the ball had crossed the line just after the first half was up.
Instead, the blaugrana had to do their coming back in the second half. And they went straight at it, and within minutes had the excellent goalkeeper Asier beaten by a wonderful long shot from Catela
At 1-1, the game was wide open again. Both sides could have won, but the respective goalies were the hottest players on the court. That was until Catela popped up again with just under two minutes to go. His goal means the cup big stays alive, and the story continues on Saturday.
