The FC Barcelona squad to face Mallorca
Football returns to the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys on Friday at 9pm CET with FC Barcelona taking on Mallorca as they look to mount more pressure on the two sides above them in the championship race.
But Xavi Hernández is going to have to make do without either of Frenkie de Jong or Pedri who both got injured in last Sunday's 0-0 draw at Athletic.
To add to the difficulties, Ronald Araujo is suspended, and so is Xavi himself, who therefore will not be able to take his usual seat in the dugout. In the absence of the Uruguayan, the Barça coach has called Mikayil Faye from Barça Atlètic into the squad for the very first time for an official fixture.
Midfielder Unai Hernández is also included in the list and could make his debut for the first team against Mallorca. The full squad for Friday's game is as follows: Ter Stegen, João Cancelo, I. Martinez, Lewandowski, Raphinha, Iñaki Peña, João Félix, Christensen, Fermín, Romeu, Vitor Roque, S. Roberto, Gündoğan, Kounde, Lamine Yamal, M. Casadó, Kochen, Cubarsí, Unai, Marc Guiu, H. Fort and Mikayil.
