The FC Barcelona squad for the game against Athletic Club

The weekend brings a fresh challenge for Xavi Hernández's team in the shape of an away trip to the Basque Country. Barça take on Athletic Club de Bilbao on Sunday with kick off at 9pm CET in the San Mamés stadium. The team coached by former blaugrana player and coach Ernesto Valverde are on a high at the moment after booking their place in next month's Copa del Rey final. Athletic defeated Atlético Madrid 3-0 on Thursday for a 4-0 aggregate win in the semi final to set up a showdown with Mallorca on Saturday 6 April in La Caturja stadium in Seville. 

For the challenge of getting all three points in Bilbao to remain in the hunt for the league title, coach Xavi has named xxxx in his squad. Still out due to injury Marcos Alonso, Balde, Gavi and Ferran so the full list is as follows: Ter Stegen, João Cancelo, R. Araujo, I. Martinez, Pedri, Lewandowski, Raphinha,  Iñaki Peña, João Félix, Christensen, Fermín, Romeu, Vitor Roque, S. Roberto , F. De Jong, Gündoğan, Kounde, Lamine Yamal, Kochen, Cubarsí, Marc Guiu and H. Fort.

Final training session before trip to Bilbao

Before travelling to the Basque Country, on Saturday the squad held their final training session at the Ciutat Esportiva ahead of Sunday's game. All the available first team players took part along with Kochen, Cubarsí, H. Fort, Marc Guiu, M. Casadó and Sergi Domínguez from Barça Atlètic.
