Barça Atlètic 4-0 CyD Leonesa: Onward and upward

Barça Atlètic got another win this Sunday, and it was big one against a direct rival in the promotion race. Five wins and a draw in the last six games are an excellent run for a team that is a very healthy condition indeed at the moment.

With Pedri, Sergi Roberto, Gavi and Marcos Alonso among the spectators, the reserves played almost the entire game with an extra man after Fornos of Cultural Leonesa was sent off after just four minutes. And just three minutes after that incident, Mikayil Faye put them a 1-0 up. rarely will you see a game look so done and dusted at such an early stage

Barça Atlètic made the extra man count in every way and could easily have scored the second earlier than the moment it finally came, jusy past the half hour and off the inside of Marc Guiu's boot. 

Any kind of a reaction from the visitors was unlikely, and as it happened Marc Vidal spent the game practically untested in the blaugrana goal. But with no real need to get over-excited, Barça were fairly casual in their approach to the game, dominant but with no real sense of urgency.

In the end it was Pau Víctor who added to the score, not once but twice, the second voming almost immediately after he had banged in the first from a corner.

This result pulls Barça above today's opponent into fifth in the table with 44 points. Next up is a trip to Real Unión on Sunday.
