Deco to speak at the Sports Tomorrow Congress
Schedule for the 2024 Sports Tomorrow Congress confirmed. The sports innovation congresses promoted by Barça Innovation Hub (BIHUB) starts on Monday 26 February and will include two days of round table discussions and informative sessions as part of the framework of the Mobile World Congress taking place at the Fira de Gran Via in Barcelona.
The final confirmed participants are from FC Barcelona's sporting area. FC Barcelona sporting director Anderson Luis de Souza 'Deco' will host a session on 'The future of the player transfer market' on Tuesday 27. The women's football team will also be represented at the Sports Tomorrow Congress on Monday 26 by Patri Guijarro, who will take part in a round table discussion called 'Women's football: How to combine success and wellness'.
Laporta and global experts on science and technology also to feature
'Shape your own game' is the slogan for this year's congress, providing the basis for debating the growth and diversification of personalisation among the sports sector.
The first day on Monday 26 February will see global experts outline the latest developments in personalisation in sectors including nutrition, genomics, data, and technology in stadiums. Some of the key speakers include Asker Jeukendrup, the Netherlands Olympic team's nutrition manager, and Skarpi Hedinsson, technology manager at the SoFi Stadium for the Los Angeles Rams, on a day that will also feature women's football player Patri Guijarro.
Tuesday 27 February will see debates around digital content, entertainment and user interaction, while Deco will bring his sporting vision to the proceedings. FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta's speech will officially bring the sessions to the end.
Some of the start-ups supported by BIHUB will also have their space at the congress, such as Onalabs, Visualfy, OLIVER and CeleBreak.

The scheduled round table discussions are also set to include the significant presence of FC Barcelona's partners, who will bring their knowledge to the table in such diverse areas as blockchain technology (WhiteBIT) and nutrition (BIMBO and Heura).
There will also be another edition of the Allianz Startup Challenge that will see several start-ups present their solutions and products in different sectors, an initiative that will see FC Barcelona BIHUB director Àngel Riudalbas and MotoGP rider Marc Márquez as judges on the panel.
