Barça 102-91 Manresa: Into the semi-finals

The Catalan derby in the Copa del Rey sees the blaugranes come out on top and book a place in the semi-finals

Barça overcame Manresa in the quarter finals of the Copa del Rey by 102-91 in a contest that was only decided in the final minutes thansk to the efforts of Laprovittola and Jabari Parker.

Manresa start strong 

The game in Málaga saw the two Catalan sides exchange points early on before Manresa surged ahead thank to three point scores at 15-9 which forced blaugrana boss Roger Grimau to call a time out. 

Barça gradually whittled down the lead to go into the second quarter just a point behind at 23-22. 

Second quarter for Barça

The second quarter saw the blaugranes take control of the contest and a three pointer from Laprovittola saw Barça ahead at 37-32. Barça then extended their lead to 10 points until a three pointer from Taylor Manresa reduced the lead to seven points for Grimau's side at 50-43 at the break.

Manresa launched a comeback in the third quarter that saw them outscore Barça 13-4 early on in the second half. Nevertheless, Roger Grimau's side were aware of the danger and with Laprovittola leading the charge, the blaugranes went into the final quarter with a seven point lead at 74-67. 

Laprovittola takes Barça into the semis

Manresa's Brandon Taylor nailed a series of three pointers to give his side hope of making it to the last four. However, Laprovittola had other ideas and the Argentinian imposed himself on the game and took Barça into the semi-finals with a 102-91 win to set up a showdown with Tenerife.
