Robert Lewandowski: 'Next week is the ideal moment to take a step forward'
Robert Lewandowski believes in FC Barcelona. The Polish striker is convinced that the team, with the fans' backing, can turn around the current situation. It's one that needs to change, and he has every faith that change will come and that very soon we are going to see the players performing back at very best of their ability.
He was speaking at the closure of the 18th edition of the Relatos Solidarios del Deporte, a competition for sports-themed books on social issues, but he was naturally quizzed about the team and its current position. "We have a very important game coming up on Saturday" he said. "And next week we have one in the Champions League. This is the moment to play better."
The draw with Granada was one of several poor results for the team, but Lewandowski knows that the setbacks have nothing to do with the team's mentality. "We always play to win" he insisted. "Next week is the ideal moment to take this a step forward."
"The best thing would be for us to take each game as it comes and we'll see how things look in the end. If we stay united, I am sure that by the end of the season we will be able to look back on a job well done and feel happy with the way we have played."
