Ter Stegen and Raphinha back in FC Barcelona squad for the visit of Granada
After the important wins against Osasuna and Alavés in La Liga, on Sunday Barça are aiming for a third consecutive victory in the competition with Granada the visitors to the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys. Three points for Xavi Hernández's team would seem them cut the deficit on second placed Girona to just three points after the defeat for Michel's side against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu on Saturday.
The good news for Barça ahead of such a crucial game is that both Marc-André ter Stegen and Raphinha are back after injury to help the team search for a trio of successive victories in La Liga. However, Xavi Hernández will be without the suspended Vitor Roque after the Brazilian scored and was then sent off for two bookable offences in the win over Alavés last weekend.
The full squad is as follows: Ter Stegen, João Cancelo, R. Araujo, I. Martinez, Pedri, Lewandowski, Raphinha, Iñaki Peña, Christensen, Fermín, F. De Jong, Gündoğan, Kounde, Lamine Yamal, M. Casadó, Kochen, Cubarsí, Pau Víctor, Marc Guiu and H. Fort.
Ter Stegen back after almost three months out
Marc-André ter Stegen returns to action for the first time since picking up a back injury on international duty with Germany back in November. The goalkeeper is back at a crucial point in the season and his availability is a great boost for coach Xavi Hernández after the shot stopped played such an important role in Barça's successes last season.
Raphinha fully recovered
Raphinha is also back after recovering from a hamstring injury against Osasuna in the semi final of the Spanish Super Cup and which kept him out for seven matches. With the return of the Brazilian winger and the excellent form of Lamine Yamal, coach Xavi has plenty of options on Sunday in attack against Granada.
