Barça 93-77 Alba Berlin: On a roll in Europe

A third successive win in Europe and their 18th in the competition comes with a commanding performance against the Germans

FC Barcelona basketball made it three in a row in the Euroleague with an excellent 93-77 win against Alba Berlin in the Palau Blaugrana. The victory was the 18th of the campaign in the Euroleague and sees Roger Grimau's side sit in second place in the table behind Real Madrid. 

Barça on top from the start 

The first quarter was a free scoring affair with both defences under pressure from the off. Gradually, Barça took control of the encounter and a lead of 26-20 after seven minutes became 31-26 at the end of the first quarter with Kalinic and Da Silva leading the scoring.

In the second quarter the Germans fought back to score six unanswered points to take the lead in the contest. Nevertheless, boosted by the home crowd, the blaugranes came back before half time Da Silva taking his total to 12 points at the break with his side leading by 51-39. 

Rounding off the win 

The pace continued in the second half from Grimau's team. At one point Barça led by 20 at 59-39 and by the end of the third quarter they were in complete control at 80-51. In the fourth quarter Barça took their foot off the gas slightly and Berlin closed the gap but the blaugranes still remained in control to take a 93-77 win and cement second place in the Euroleague table.
