Barça 6-0 Centroporsche Firenze VH Forte: First place confirmed

A blaugrana victory to tie up first place in the WSE Champions League group stage, as the FC Barcelona roller hockey team overcame Centroporsche Firenze VH Forte 6-0 at the Palau Blaugrana, with braces from João Rodrigues, Sergi Llorca and Marc Grau.

The blaugranes step on the gas

An even start saw Sergi Fernández and Riccardo Gnata both making saves for their respective sides. However, Forte dei Marmi blinked first and Barça scored twice, first through magical play by João Rodrigues, before Sergi Llorca showed quality for the second.

The goals emboldened the Catalans, who stepped on the gas to control the tempo of the game and force the Italians into defence mode. It proved insufficient though, as João Rodrigues scored his second to make it 3-0 just before the break.

Tempo maintained

The Italians came out to try to redress the balance but found Sergi Fernández in the way again and no further goals were added in the first ten minutes of the second half. Sergi Llorca soon had something to say about that though, providing the assist for Marc Grau to make it 4-0.

The blaugrana control bore more fruits before the game ended, Marc Grau dribbling and shooting to complete his brace for 5-0, before Sergi Llorca scored an impeccable direct free hit to round off the scoring. 6-0 the final score and confirmation as mathematical winners of the WSE Champions League Group A.
