Fuenlabrada 1-2 Barça Atlètic: Promising win

Barça Atlètic have won 2-1 at Fuenlabrada with Unai Hernández scoring the first from an unmarked situation in the opposing box and an own goal pretty much sentencing things with a second half goal, although Manu Lama's response gave the home fans some late hope of a comeback.

The wins sends the reserves back into the play-off zone with a game against struggling Logroñés to come next Sunday at the Estadi Johan Cruyff (12.00pm CET).

Both goals were the result of poor defending by the home side. In game of few chances for either side, the first came after a failed clearance landed straight at the feet of Hernández, who made sure he didn't waste the unexpected gift.

Fuenlabrada battled back strongly, but Barça hit again ten minutes into the second half. Gerard Martín and Jaume Cuéllar both did some fine work to build up a shot from the latter, who then watched in glee as it first struck home defender Stephen Buer and then his colleague Ali Galindo and ended up in their own net. Another gift and that was 2-0.

Manu Lama's headed corner got the home side off the mark, but it was too little too late for Fuenlabrada, who never managed to threaten again and were ultimately well beaten.
