Copa del Rey squad announced
On Thursday, FC Barcelona travel to Salamanca in search of a place in the Copa del Rey quarter finals, where they'll be taking on a Unionistas side that plays two divisions below them but has already managed one major shock by dumping out Villarreal on penalties.
However, neither Ronald Araujo nor Lamine Yamal can play in this game. The Uruguayan is suspended after being sent off against Real Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup, while the teenager is also serving a suspension for a red card in the Youth Copa del Rey last year against Malaga.
The full squad is as follows: Balde, Ferran, Pedri, Lewandowski, Iñaki Peña, João Félix, Christensen, Romeu, Vitor Roque, S. Roberto, F. De Jong, Gündoğan, Kounde, Astralaga, M. Casadó, Kochen, Fermín, Cubarsí, Pau Víctor, Marc Guiu and H. Fort.
Last session before trip to Salamanca
The players gathered on Wednesday morning for their last training session before heading off for the cup tie. As usual, the venue was the Tito Vilanova field at the Ciutat Esportiva, where the first teamers were joined by Astralaga, Kochen, Marc Casadó, Marc Guiu, Cubarsí, Hector Fort, Pau Víctor and Albert Navarro of Barça Atlètic.
