Lenovo Tenerife 80-83 Barça: Sixth win in a row

Roger Grimau's team take a win in the Canary Islands thanks to a late three pointer from Jabari Parker

First away game of 2024 and first victory as Barça overcame Lenovo Tenerife 83-30 in a game that was decided in the final seconds by a three pointer from Jabari Parker. The blaugranes were led by an inspired Darío Brizuela who top scored with 16 points.

Early parity

Roger Grimau's team started brightly with Paulí and Vesely finding spaces on the inside and Satoransky scoring five early points. Nevertheless, the home side matched Barça's pace and it was only free throws from Willy Hernangómez that gave the blaugranes a 24-20 lead at the end of the first quarter.

The Canary Islanders upper their efforts in the second half and the efforts in particular of Kyle Guy and Diop allowed Tenerife to level the scores at half time at 39-39.

Brizuela sets the tempo

In the third quarter Barça just could not get in front in spite of the efforts of Parker and Jokubaitis. Nevertheless, in the final minutes the blaugranes did manage to draw almost to go into the final quarter at 64-63 down.

In the final quarter Brizuela contributed a decisive 10 points for Barça, following on from his excellent performance against Zalgiris on Friday. That helped turn around a seven point deficit in the fourth period and after Kalinic levelled things up 80-80, a last three pointer from Parker decided the game in Barça's favour.
