Peníscola 3-3 Barça: A point salvaged
Barça have drawn on the road at Peníscola in a game that they comfortably led 2-0 at half-time, having played some lovely football along the way, but the side from Castellon not only managed to equalise but then went 3-2 up in the second half before rush goalie Dyego managed to find an equaliser two minutes from the end to leave things at 3-3.
Antonio capitalised on a gap spotted in the home defence to open the scoring after 10 minutes, and an impressive through ball from Adolfo set Dyego up for the second. It had by no means been an easy ride, but the 2-0 lead at half-time bode very well indeed. What happened in the second half came as a surprising turn in the events.
Peníscola scored twice in a minute to undo all the hard Barça work in the first half. And then they took the lead from the penalty spot. Things had suddenly turned all horribly wrong. The desperate late drive posed the risk of conceding a fatal fourth, but the gamble paid off when Dyego's late goal meant that at least the Catalans have a point to show for their efforts.
