Pedri shines on return after 26-day absence
Pedri is back. This very Thursday he was declared fully fit and just a matter of hours later he was out on the pitch for the last 30 minutes of the Spanish Super Cup semi-final against Osasuna. 26 days had passed since he last played in the game with Valencia on December 16.
It was three days after that when an injury picked up in training meant he has gone on to miss the games with Almeria and UD Las PalmasĀ in the league, the cup tie with Barbastro and the friendly in Dallas. Indeed, he even travelled to Riyadh without having been deemed fit to play, but the team doctors eventually decided he was good to go, and on he went as a 61st replacement for Sergi Roberto.
Players sometime take time to readjust after coming back injury, but not so Pedri. Within moments he was making an impact on the game, serving up some delicious moves for the highlight reel. Indeed, after his introduction, the whole team looked fresher, and the ultimate 2-0 win had much to do with the presence of the Canary Islander on the field. He's back... And he's as brilliant as ever. And that's great news for Culers everywhere.
