Lamine Yamal, youngest player and goalscorer ever in the Super Cup
The ability of Lamine Yamal to set new records knows no end. After becoming Barça's youngest ever player in the Champions League and La Liga, the blaugrana winger has set a new record in the Spanish Super Cup, becoming the youngest player to take part in the competition and the youngest scorer at the age of 16 years and 182 days.
The Barça number 27 was one of the sensations of 2023 and he came on in the 43rd minute of the game against Osasuna in the semi-final of the Super Cup at the Al-Awal Park stadium, beating the previous record for the 21st century set by Ansu Fati at the age of 17 years and 70 days.
Lamine's goal to make it 2-0 late on in the game means he is also the youngest ever goalscorer in the competition.
Records in the league and with the national team
Lamine Yamal became the youngest goalscorer in La Liga history when he found the net in a 2-2 draw against Granada in October of last year at the age of 16 years and 87 days, beating the record held by Fabrice Olinga by 11 days.
For the Spanish national side he became the youngest ever player in September of 2023 at the age of 16 years and 57 days, scoring on his debut to become the country's youngest ever goalscorer also.
