Mapi León contract extension best moment in December

The Barça Women squad have become a reference point and models for the Barça fans and football fans in general. The women's team had an excellent months of December in all competitions, leading the league, making the quarter finals of the Champions League whilst at the same time remaining unbeaten in both. One of the starts of the team is Mapi León, the leader of the defence in Jonatan Giráldez's team. The centre back's contract extension until 2026 has been voted by the Barça fans the best moment of December 2023. 

The new deal for Mapi León pipped other events such as Asisat Oshoala being named best African player of 2023, the team's unbeaten run in the first half of the season and the moment that Mariona, Keira Walsh and Salma Paralluelo met hundreds of Barça fans at the Barça Store on Passeig de Gràcia in Barcelona.
