Barça 7-2 CH Mataró: Big win to kick off the year

The Barça roller hockey side kicked off 2024 with a comprehensive 7-2 win over CH Mataró in the league. Edu Castro's team dominated the encounter and an excellent first half set up the victory with João Rodrigues contributing four goals for the home side. 

Pau Bargalló opens the scoring 

Alabart hit the bar as the blaugranes had early chances before Pau Bargalló put the home side ahead on 12 minutes with a well placed shot. 

After that it was one way traffic at the Palau Blaugrana. João Rodrigues got his first of the game to make it 2-0 and Eloi Cervera took advantage of some great work from Sergi Llorca to make it 3-0 at half time. 

In the second half the game opened up with chances for both teams. Rodrigues took advantage to add his second of the game to make it 4-1 after Cusachs had pulled one back for the visitors. 

In the final minutes Lladó got on the scoresheet before Rodrigues added a brace to his total to round off an excellent start to the year for the blaugranes.
