Barça 9-1 Levante Las Planas: Goalfest to start the year

Barça Women kicked off 2024 in the best possible way with a 9-1 victory over Levante Las Planes in the league. There was a festival atmosphere in the Estadi Johan Cruyff with 6 January being ain important public holiday in Catalonia. 

The game got off to the best possible start for the blaugranes with Salam Paralluelo putting the blaugranes ahead after just five minutes. The floodgates opened after that with Mariona adding a second from the penalty spot. Before the half hour was up, Ballon d'Or winner Aitana made it 3-0 on 28 minutes. 

Before half time Caroline Graham Hansen got in on the act to make it 4-0 at half time in the Estadi Johan Cruyff. 

The second half saw the goals continue: Claudia Pina and Patri added one each to make it 6-0 before Levante scored a consolation goal through Allegra. Late goals from Vicky, Patri again and Oshoala rounded off a festive win for Jonatan Giráldez's team.
