Winning debut for Vitor Roque
He didn't score, but in the short time he was on the pitch, we saw plenty of reasons to be very excited about the addition of Vitor Roque to the FC Barcelona roster.
A week after arriving in Europe, the 18-year--old Brazilian came on in the 78th minute of Thursday's game in Las Palmas, replacing Ferran Torres, whose goal had got his new team back into a game in which they'd been trailing 1-0 since the 12th minute.
In 20 minutes on pitch, 'Tigrinho' got to see Gündogan seal the win from the penalty spot, and also had a couple of great chances to add a goal of his own.
He seemed to have had next to no difficulty settling into a new team, and was very much an integral part of the late surge that eventually won three crucial points, never giving up a ball as lost, proving brilliant at finding space, and although he didn't get to find the net, playing the way he did tonight, it's hard to imagine we'll have to wait long before he does.
On Sunday against Barbastro in the Copa del Rey, one imagines we'll get to enjoy a longer look at one the Brazilian starlet is capable of.
