The blaugrana midfielder joins streamer Ibai Llanos on Twitch, outlining his current injury status and the team's situation

Pedri is still recovering from his muscle issues. The Canary Islander played his last game in blaugrana on 12 December against Valencia. He is still working to get back to full fitness on his own, and the midfielder took time out to join streamer Ibai Llanos on his Twitch channel. He outlined his current injury status, his views on the team's situation, and he spoke about his teammates, including the latest arrival, Vitor Roque.

On the injury

Happy and positive, the blaugrana began by explaining that "it is fine, even though these are tough times". The young star is currently working back to fitness on his own after muscle issues. He confessed that "it is tough mentally, because you are always mentioned", but the player has been working to get back on the pitch since the day the injury was confirmed, stating, "I have changed my diet, I do Pilates now, as well as specific training sessions".

Barça's number 8 explained that he doesn't worry about injuries once he is back in the first team routine, stating "when I get back on the pitch I forget about everything and don't think about anything, I don't think about injuries, coming back from one doesn't affect me". Despite no confirmed date for his return, the player confessed that "it will be soon".

The team's situation

Despite not being available, Pedri is aware that Barça are not going through their best period in the domestic league, stating "we aren't where we would like to be in the league, but this is a new year and you have to look forward. There are still many points to be won in the league and there's time to come back". He also wanted to highlight his belief in the project and that "the dressing room are behind Xavi as the coach to lead it".

The midfielder believes it is a gradual process and that it's worth remembering that "at this point last year we were practically in the same position and out of the Champions League".
