The defender was replaced in the starting line up against Atlético Madrid by Andreas Christensen after picking up a thigh injury in the warm up
Tests carried out on Monday show that the first team player Iñigo Martínez has a biceps femoral muscle injury in his right hamstring. The defender is unavailable for selection and his recovery will dictate his return.
The centre back was included in the starting line up for the game against Atlético Madrid but was injured in the warm up and replaced by Andreas Christensen before kick off.
