Barça Atlètic 1-2 Deportivo La Coruña: First defeat in the Estadi Johan Cruyff

Barça Atlétic's unbeaten home record is now history as they went down to defeat against Deportivo La Coruña in the Estadi Johan Cruyff, the Galicians conjuring up an injury time winner at the end of the second half. Pau Víctor gave the blaugranes the lead in the first half only for Villares to equaliser before the break. The visitors claimed all three points when David Álvarez found the net with almost the last kick of the game. 

Tight opening half

The sides were equally matches in the first half. Villares had an early chance for Deportivo but Barça keeper Marc Vidal made a good reaction save. Nevertheless, it was the home side who took the lead on 18 minutes when Pau Víctor finished off a good pass from Héctor Fort. 

Rafa Márquez's team searched for a second before the break but Deportivo remained disciplined at the back despite being behind. The Galicians got back on level terms on the half hour mark when Villares took advantage of confusion in the Barça box to make it 1-1. 

Depor get on top 

In the second half both teams chased a winner but Barça keeper Vidal first denied Jurado before opposite number Parreño made a good save from Unai to keep the score 1-1. Just when it seemed the game was destined for a draw, David Álvarez found himself unmarked in the blaugrana box to beat Vidal and inflict a first home defeat on Barça this season.
