Athletic Club 0-4 FC Barcelona: Ten out of ten

Barça have continued their 100 per cent record with a solid victory at Athletic Club thanks to a goal each from Marta Torrejón, Graham Hansen, Patri Guijarro and Aitana Bonmatí. A 10 out of 10 performance to make it 10 wins in as many games for the undisputed Liga leaders.

And that was with a number of players missing from the starting line-up. Yet Barça attacked the Athletic goal from the start and never looked like doing anything other than extend their winning streak. All that was missing was the goal, and although the home side held out against the onsluaght for 36 minutes, they were eventually subdued when Torrejón got on the end of a Hansen cross, moments after failing to do the same with a similar assist from the same player.

Having played such a brilliant role in Barça attacking plans until then, it was only fitting that Hansen should be the one to score Barça second, a delightfully placed finish after carefully and very deliberately picking her spot.

Athletic tried to keep the game alive with a series of potentially dangerous counter attacks, but while they were unable to finish off their own moves, instead it was the blaugrana women who took two more of their own.

Hansen was again to thank for the third goal, her pass leaving Patri Guijarro with nothing more to do than tap the ball home, and it was the Norwegian who was there again to supplu her third assist of the day, this time for the lady of the moment Aitana Bonmatí, a wonderful one-two between them completing the action on a day that also saw the 17-year-old Italian international Giulia Dragoni finally make her first team debut.
