Loznica 0-2 Barça: Top of the group for the Elite Round
The Barça futsal team took a comfortable win over Serbian hosts Loznica in their final match of the main round of this season's Champions League thanks to goals from Sergio González and Adolfo. The only downside for Jesús Velasco's team was the red card for Pito which means he will miss the next game in the tournament.
Attacking from the start
Barça took the initiative from the beginning of the contest and Dyego struck the post in the third minute of the game. Nevertheles, Loznica, cheered on by the home support, put up stubborn resistance and managed to keep the blaugranes at bay with keeper Vulic making several vital saves.
Goalless at half time, the blaugranes came out in the second half determined to stake their claim on the game. On 23 minutes Barça were finally in front when Sergio diverted Dyego's shot past Vulic to make it 1-0. The dismissal of Pito for a second yellow two minutes later disrupted the blaugranes' rhythm as they chased a second goal.
It was not until the 37th minute that Barça got the second, Adolfo making the final score 2-0 to second a place in the next round as group winners.
