Barça 6-0 Luxol St. Andrews: Main Round starts with big win
The Barça futsal team got their 2023/24 Champions League campaign off to a winning start in Loznica, Serbia with a 6-0 win over Maltese side Luxol St.Andrews in their first of their Main Round fixtures. Their next game now comes on Thursday at 5.30pm CEST against Anderlecht and they can face that fixture with a win already under their belts.
The blaugranes were focused from the start, eager to avoid the mistakes of last season. Adolfo opened the scoring thanks to passs from Dídac on 9 minutes and just four minutes later Dyego doubled the advantage.
The first half was dominated by Jesús Velasco's team and Catela made it 3-0 on 16 minutes. Just before the break Álex scored twice to make it 5-0 at half time and put Barça into cruise control.
In the second half the intensity dropped and Catela added a sixth and final goal on 31 minutes to close out the win as thought turned to the next fixture against Belgian side Anderlecht.
