Noia Freixenet 2-2 Barça: First points dropped

Barça's perfect start to the OK Liga ended on Sunday when they drew 2-2 away to Noia Freixenet, the same team they lost to in the final of the Catalan League a month ago.

In an extremely tight contest, Noia took a first half lead through Xavi Costa, but a free from Ignacio Alabart and then a goal from Marc Grau turned the game around to put Barça into a 2-1 lead. It was looking like a fourth win out of four for the boys in blaugrana, but a well-worked Noia goal from a five-against-four situation with less than a minute to go means that Barça are now only co-leaders with surprise package HC Sant Just.

There was further bad new when Pau Bargalló was unable to play in the second half after hurting his left hand and being told by the team doctors that he should withdraw.
