Barça 6-1 Granada: Leaders strong as ever

Ona Batlle scores her first goal for the club as the Catalans put six goals past the Andalusians

Barça defeated Granada 6-1 on Saturday evening, with Patri Guijarro, Salma Paralluelo and Mariona all getting a goal and an assist each, with Oshoala claiming two goals at an Estadi Johan Cruyff that also got to see Ona Batlle get her first goal for the team, and the chance to welcome back Ariadna Mingueza, this time as an opponent.

Guijarro took just six minutes to open the scoring with a tremendous strike, but the scoring then staled until the half hour, when Salma Paralluelo assisted Batlle's first goal for Barça at the age of 24.

Granada were offering little in attack but plenty in defence, and it was not until deep into the second half that they finally found the net again. Paralluelo had already had a series of chances and finally had it following a crazy moment with shots being turned away from all angles.

Moments after coming on as a sub, Mariona was converting a Guijarro assist that left her one-on-one with Sandra Estévez.

By now the floodgates were opening, and it was time for Oshoala to have her own impact on the match. Assists in quick succession from Aitana and Mariona meant that was six for the Catalans, with Paños surprised by a late shot from Naima that meant nothing for the outcome but did mean Granada at least went home with a goal to celebrate.
