ElPozo Murcia 2-4 Barça: Lead extended
Another league win for the Barça futsal team, this time against second-placed ElPozo Murcia, the league leaders sealing a 2-4 victory at the Palacio de los Deportes. A hat-trick by Catela made the difference both in the match and in the league as both the points and goal difference are + 4 in favour of the Catalans over the side from Murcia. Next up another league game at the Palau Blaugrana against Jaén.
Catela turns the tide
ElPozo started the game cautiously, remaining solid in defence, before going on to benefit from a blaugrana error when playing out from the back, Eric Pérez making it 1-0 after nine minutes. However, it wasn't long before Juanjo Catela started to turn the tide, scoring two goals in just 14 seconds to give Barça the lead with four minutes to go to the break. Half time 1-2.
Hat-trick and resilience
Catela soon completed his hat-trick after the restart, adding to his first-half shot through the keeper's legs and free-kick by dispatching a Dyego pass into the top corner (1-3, min 21).
That goal shook ElPozo Murcia, who despite their best efforts, couldn't redress the balance due to a combination of the bar, Dídac, and the blaugrana defence. The fly keeper tactic added to the pressure and although Bruno Taffy scored (2-3, min 39), Barça proved resilient and Sergio González scored into an open net seconds from the whistle, full time score 2-4.
