Status check on the FC Barcelona loanees

A look at how the season is going for Eric Garcia, Ansu Fati, Julian Araujo, Dest, Pablo Torre and Lenglet at their different clubs

Now we have an international break, it's a good time to take stock of how things are going for the six FC Barcelona players who are spending the season on loan to other clubs.

Eric García: Permanent place in Girona

Eric has settled in perfectly up the road at the Catalan club that has got off to such an amazing start to the campaign. In an impressive second place in La Liga, one above Barça, Girona have used his services in seven games this season, five times as a starter (479 minutes in total). The centre back even contributed a goal against Villarreal and seems to be thoroughly enjoying the Montilivi experience.

Ansu Fati: Rising impact at Brighton

Ansu Fati is gradually starting to show the people of Sussex what he's made of. He's played ten games but in only three of them was he picked as a starter by Roberto De Zerbi. But all of his hard work is starting to gain rewards, and he finally scored his first goal, albeit in a 6-1 defeat at Aston Villa. But that hiccup aside, Brighton have been having another decent season, currently lying sixth in the Premiership.

Pablo Torre: Seeking a place at Girona

Pablo Torre is also on loan to Girona, where he was sent in the hope of getting the playing time he needs and wasn't getting at Barça. Coach Míchel has heaped plenty of praise on the attacking midfielder, despite some struggles to adapt. Torre has yet to start a game although he has come on as sub in seven for a total of 116 minutes, most of those in the last four games. So things look to be on the up for him.

Julian Araujo: Starter in Las Palmas

The 'other' Araujo has been a big hit at newly promoted Las Palmas, where García Pimienta views the Mexican youngster as one of the most essential components of his squad. He's played seven games this season, totalling 501 minutes, more than any other of Barça's loanees. And his team have been holding their own quite nicely at the top level, a respectable tenth going into the FIFA break.

Serginho Dest: Golden opportunity at PSV

A month after heading on loan to the Netherlands, Dest is making the most of his time at PSV. The club are top of the Dutch championship table and also playing in the Champions League, the ideal environment for the American to showcase what he can do. He has started all four games since arriving in Eindhoven, a total of 350 minutes.

Clement Lenglet: On the bench at Aston Vila

After a spell with Tottenham, Lenglet was hoping to continue the fine rhythm that he was gathering in the Premier League at Aston Vila. Unfortunately, although Villa are flying high in fifth place, the French defender has contributed very little to that, only featuring so far in two matches.
