Barça brings out a collection created by Nike and Patta
Barça, Nike and Patta have joined forces to create a line of streetwear with the famous brand of urban clothing founded in Amsterdam who bring a daring visual philosophy from the streets to the playing field.
The campaign draws on the feeling of being a culer via the red and blue blood that beats in the heart of every FC Barcelona fan and spreads around the world. Via a stunning campaign, Barça and Nike want to reach a different target audience with a leading company for streetwear fashion and trendsetting like Patta. The philosophy of creating and celebrating football and football jerseys for the streets has been an objective for the Dutch brand since it was founded in 2004. The collaboration with Patta is no surprise as the company was created in Amsterdam, bringing to mind Barça’s direct relationship with the Dutch style of football that is ever-present in the Club’s footballing DNA.
Extensive range of Barça products
The range created by Patta and Nike with culer inspiration includes hoodies, tracksuits, T-shirts, caps, plus an exclusive edition of an iconic Nike shoe inspired by Barça’s blaugrana colours. The products will be available for purchase via Barça Stores and Nike stores from 16 October. Xavi Hernández’ players will also wear a training top from the collection during the warm up prior to the game against Athletic Club de Bilbao on 22 October.
Who are Patta
Patta was founded in 2004 by Edson Sabajo and Guillaume ‘Gee’ Schmidt. Both were instrumental in the Dutch hip-hop and nightlife community in the 90’s and early 2000’s - The music minded pair also had a shared obsession with hunting internationally for sneakers and records, which had started out as a hobby before flourishing into a thriving business. Today, Patta is one of few internationally revered, black-owned streetwear brands and consists of a clothing line, Patta Soundsystem, Patta Running Team, the Patta Foundation, focusing on youth cultural education and most recently, the Patta Cycling Team.
