Barça Atlètic 1-1 RC Celta Fortuna: A hard fought point

The blaugranes salvage a point after playing most of the second half with 10 men

A point at the Estadi Johan Cruyff for Rafa Márquez's team who had to play most of the second half with 10 men following the dismissal of Unai in the 52nd minute of the encounter. After falling behind in the first half, a goal from Héctor Fort levelled things up for the blaugranes five minutes before half time to leave Barç Atlètic with a record of two wins, two draws and two defeats so far this season in the league.

Barça dominate, Celta take the lead

The home side took control in the early stages of the encounter and Pau Víctor's cross almost led to the opening goal of the game. However, Barça Atlétic's dominance did not prevent Celta from taking the lead with Hugo Álvarez turning home a set piece on 28 minutes.

The visitors sat back to defend their lead and the blaugranes took advantage as they searched for an equaliser before half time. The goal to level things up came on 40 minutes when Héctor Fort picked up a ball on the edge of the box to turn home and make it 1-1.

The second half saw the blaugranes go down to 10 men when Unai Hernández was shown a straight red card on 52 minutes. Nevertheless, Rafa Márquez's team showed admirable composure and even had a chance to win the game through the lively Pocho. In the end, the blaugrana defence held tight in a disciplined showing to hold on for a point ahead of their next game which is away at Real Sociedad B on Sunday 8 October at 8pm CEST.
