The Champions League anthem is about to be heard at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys for the very first time as FC Barcelona take on Royal Antwerp of Belgium this Tuesday. Coach Xavi Hernández announced his squad this Monday morning.
The players he'll be picking from for the European debut are: Ter Stegen, João Cancelo, Balde, I. Martínez, Gavi, Ferran, Lewandowski, Raphinha, Iñaki Peña, João Félix, Christensen, Marcos A., Romeu, S. Roberto, F. De Jong, Gündoğan, Kounde, Astralaga, Lamine Yamal, M. Casadó and Fermín.
Last session before the game
Monday also brought the last training session at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper ahead of the game. The Tito Vilanova field was the venue, and although he was not named in the squad, Ronald Araujo was able to join the rest of the group as he presses on with what look to be the very final stages of his return to full fitness.
