Ferran Torres tops preseason scoring

The win over Tottenham in the 2023 Gamper was the last game of the preseason. From now on, things get ever more serious as official 2023/24 fixtures begin on Sunday with the game away to Getafe.

One of the standout players of the warm-up games has been Ferran Torres, who scored three goals in four games, thus leading the FC Barcelona squad in that department.

Preseason scorers

The game with Spurs followed three others in the United States against Arsenal, Real Madrid and AC Milan. Bar¡a lost one and won three, and no fewer than seven different players contributed goals.

Torres found the target against Arsenal and Real Madrid, the latter a delightful chip to thwart the great Courtois. And then he scored the equaliser against Spurs with less than ten minutes to go.

Two players have scored twice this preseason. Lewandowski was the first player to find the net in the USA when he scored against Arsenal and he also opened the scoring in the Gamper. And Ansu Fati netted against Milan and then again right at the very end of the Gamper.

The other four scorers have been Rafinha, Dembélé, Fermin and Abde. The Brazilian got the second against Arsenal, Fermin made it 2-0 in the Clásico played in Dallas and Abde finished off the 4-2 win in the Gamper.
