FC Barcelona arrives in Los Angeles
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA — Barça arrived here in the United States on Wednesday afternoon after a 12-hour flight from Barcelona. The City of Angels welcomed the Club's expedition with sunny skies and a temperature of 79ºF/26ºC.
The 32 players in the U.S. include the team's latest signing, Oriol Romeu. They are being led on the tour by president Joan Laporta, vice-presidents Rafael Yuste, Elena Fort, and Antonio Escudero, treasurer Ferran Olivé and directors Miquel Camps, Josep Ignasi Macià, Aureli Mas, Xavier Puig, Àngel Riudalbas, Joan Solé, and Joan Soler.
Real Madrid arrive on Barça's heels
Interestingly, only minutes after Barça landed in Los Angeles, the plane carrying Real Madrid also touched down. The two teams square off on July 29 in Dallas, Texas.
At the team hotel, the InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown, throngs of Barça supporters waited with open arms, and several of the players stopped to sign autographs before heading inside.
